The Summer Shows were awesome!
With good horses and good people, it’s very difficult to have a bad time at the horse show, but when the weather in Northern Iowa mostly cooperates, then horse showing in Mason City is just superb. Thanks for all the folks who came out this June and joined us at the North Iowa Events Center. Your presence is greatly appreciated by all of us at Mid States.

Greetings all!
The Summerfest show is in the books! We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves!
Here is some important information regarding schooling in the Grand Prix ring tomorrow, and the schedule for week 2.
After careful consideration, due to the Karen Healey clinic taking place tomorrow the schooling for the Grand Prix ring tomorrow will be adjusted:
HACKING WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE MORNING UNTIL TRACTOR WORK BEGINS BEFORE THE CLINIC BEGINS AT 8AM
AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE CLINIC THE JUMPER RING WILL BE OPEN FOR SCHOOLING. IT SHOULD BE OPEN BY ABOUT 2:30PM AND WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 8PM.
THE HUNTER RINGS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE BY ABOUT 9AM.
We at Mid States encourage everyone to come up and take advantage of this excellent educational opportunity by auditing today’s clinic. Karen is a top trainer and clinician and yesterdays clinic sessions were great!

NOVICE: 2’6″ – 3′
INTERMEDIATE: 3′-3’6″
ADVANCED: 3’6″-4′
Trainers interested in auditing for the educational requirement for Trainer Certification:
Trainers interested in getting credit must audit the entire clinic. This clinic will fulfill the educational requirement portion of the certification program. The online educational program is $200 and this clinic is $150! Save yourself a little cash by participating in this great opportunity!
General auditors: We are offering an auditing opportunity for this educational experience to anyone! Just $50 per day!

The Mid States Spring Show was spectacular!! We had fantastic weather, good people, and great fun!
The highlight of the week was the
Barb Aherns Memorial Grand Prix!
Throughout the day exhibitors sported their Vikings purple in honor of Barb, and then we had a fantastic class with just 3 clean in the first round to celebrate our dear friend! Barb’s family joined us for the celebration and presented the top honors to:
Dannee Urban and “Kryptonite”
