Greetings all!

As the 2014 Mid States Season approaches we would like to update everyone on the new Mid States Horse Shows, LLC Bio-Security Protocol.

We at Mid States Horse Shows wish everyone and their horses a safe and fun show season, and in that light, have initiated the following bio-security policies to help promote the health and safety of our valued equine partners:

10 days is recommended and preferred

Proof of vaccinations:
Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis – 180 days
Tetanus180 days
Equine Influenza – 90 days
Equine Rhino Pneumonitis (EHV 1 & 4) – 90 days

Show Participation Health Declaration:

Regarding the concern about the equine events preceding the Mid States Shows at the North Iowa Events Center:

The Barrel Racing event that was scheduled for the North Iowa Events Center preceding the Mid States Hunter/Jumper shows HAS BEEN CANCELLED!!!  A small local clinic with 3-6 participants will be occurring instead with clinician Natalie Foutch and NONE of the participants have reserved stabling.

Mid States staff members will be onsite as early as May 18th in preparation for the shows.  We will closely monitor the current status of equine activities in the Midwest as well as at the Fairgrounds.

We are very excited for the shows this year and hope that you will come join us to “Spring into Summer!”
